# How do I create my first assignment?

**Step 1:** Click on the **Teaching** dropdown, and then click on **Assignments**.

**Step 2:** To create a new assignment, click on the **New assignment** button.

**Step 3:** Fill out the title of the assignment. You will have the options to select a class, add the assignment instructions, and upload the source material. Then, click the **Create Assignment** button.

**Step 4:** You will receive the feedback that your assignment was successfully created. You will then have the ability to edit the fields you just filled out, view the essays graded under this assignment, or delete the assignment.
