# How do I export the summary of an essay?

This video walks you through the steps to export a summary of an essay using our teaching tool. We demonstrate how to either copy and paste text or upload a file directly from your device. After uploading, we show you how to click the summarize button to get your summary.

Click on the **Teaching** dropdown header and then click on **Summarize.**

**Step 2:** Click on the **Browse** button.

**Step 3**: Select an essay from your device and then click **Open**.

**Step 4:** Click the **Summarize** button.

**Step 5:** You can export the Essay summary by clicking **Print summary**.

**Step 6**: Under Destination, choose the option to Save as a PDF and then click the **Save** button.

From there you can choose whereon your device you would like to save the Essay Summary.

**Step 7:** You will be able to access the PDF version of the Essay Summary from the location where you saved it.
