# How do I add text to my dashboard?

Adding text allows you to provide additional information to your audience about your dashboard and visualizations. To add text on to a dashboard:

1. Go to the dashboard, click on ‘+ Add Content’ and select ‘Add Text.’
2. A new title with ‘Add Text’ button opens. Click on the button and a text editor opens.
3. Use the different tools to choose fonts, re-size, color and indent your text.
4. When done editing, click ‘SAVE CHANGES’ at the top right corner.
