# How do I export the summary of an essay?

This video walks you through the steps to export a summary of an essay using our teaching tool. We demonstrate how to either copy and paste text or upload a file directly from your device. After uploading, we show you how to click the summarize button to get your summary.

Click on the ****Teaching**** dropdown header and then click on ****Summarize.****

****Step 2:**** Click on the ****Browse**** button.

****Step 3****: Select an essay from your device and then click ****Open****.

****Step 4:**** Click the ****Summarize**** button.

****Step 5:**** You can export the Essay summary by clicking ****Print summary****.

****Step 6****: Under Destination, choose the option to Save as a PDF and then click the ****Save**** button.

From there you can choose whereon your device you would like to save the Essay Summary.

****Step 7:**** You will be able to access the PDF version of the Essay Summary from the location where you saved it.
