# How do I mark my podcast as explicit?

It's very important that if you use explicit language or adult content in your show that you identify this in your podcast directory.

There's nothing wrong with explicit content, but not marking your show as explicit when it is may result in your removal from the directories.

****To mark your show as explicit:****

* Choose the relevant show from __My Podcasts__
* Click on __Podcast Settings,__ which is under the __Settings__ tab of the menu on the left hand side of your Captivate dashboard
* Scroll down to __Directory Settings__ until you see the two options for __does your podcast use explicit language,__ and select the relevant one for you

_****Note:****_ __you can mark individual episodes as explicit.__
