# How to Assign Multiple Transactions to a Single Invoice in COUNT

If a customer pays an invoice using multiple bank transactions, you can assign those transactions to a single invoice in COUNT.
For example, if a customer pays an invoice in several installments, each bank transaction can be assigned to the same invoice.

## How to assign multiple transactions to a single invoice

1. Go to ****Banking**** > ****Transactions****.
2. Find the bank transactions that relate to the invoice.
3. Click the ****Category**** and choose ****Match or Transfer****.

5. Select the ****Invoice Payment**** tab.
6. Find and select the invoice that the transaction relates to.

8. Click ****Apply Payment to Invoice****.
9. Repeat these steps for each transaction you want to assign to the same invoice.

COUNT will apply each transaction to the invoice and update the invoice's payment status and remaining balance.

|| Important:

* Make sure each transaction is assigned to the correct invoice and that the total amount assigned matches the payments received.
* If multiple transactions are being used to pay one invoice, the invoice may remain Partially Paid until enough payments have been assigned to cover the full invoice amount.
