# How to Choose the Right Embed Player for Your Podcast Website

When it comes to listening to podcasts, embeddable web players are perfect, since they offer multiple benefits:

* You can use them on any site that supports HTML embeds (or oEmbeds, depending on the platform)
* You can make it easy for listeners who don't feel comfortable using podcast apps

## So what type of embed player should you use?

## Single Episode Player

If you publish an individual blog post for each episode on your podcast website, you'll want to use the __Single Episode Player__. This enables you to copy the HTML code for a specific episode, and embed it on your site.

* Log in to your Captivate dashboard
* Click on __Episodes__ from the menu on the left hand side of your screen
* Find the episode you want to embed, and click on the __Share__ icon to the right of the episode
* From the pop-up window, copy the __Embed on your website__ HTML code
* On your blog post, using your platform's HTML code embed option, paste the code for your Captivate web player into the HTML box
* Save or update your post, and then click preview to view your blog post with the __Single Episode Player__

## Latest Episode Player

If you have an area on your site that you want to highlight your newest episode, you'll want to use the __Latest Episode Player__. This enables you to copy the HTML code for a specific episode, and embed it on your site.

* Log in to your Captivate dashboard
* Click on __Podcast Player__ from the menu on the left hand side of your screen
* Click on __Static Embed__
* From the __Latest Episode Player__ box, copy the __Embed on your website__ HTML code
* On your website, using your platform's HTML code embed option, paste the code for your Captivate web player into the HTML box
* Save or update your post, and then click preview to view the __Latest Episode Player__ on your page

## Show Player

If you have a page on your site that you want to showcase every episode of your podcast, you'll want to use the __Show Player__. This enables you to copy the HTML code for a full show player, and embed it on your site.

* Log in to your Captivate dashboard
* Click on __Podcast Player__ from the menu on the left hand side of your screen
* Click on __Static Embed__
* From the __Show Playlist Player__ box, copy the __Embed on your website__ HTML code
* On your website, using your platform's HTML code embed option, paste the code for your Captivate web player into the HTML box
* Save or update your post, and then click preview to view the __Show Playlist Player__ on your page

## Playlists Player

If you're looking to create a "Best of" playlist, or a collection of your most popular episodes, or similar, you can use our awesome [Playlists](https://help.captivate.fm/en/articles/4175452-collections-overview) feature to create a curated playlist for your listeners. Once created, you'll want to use the Playlists Player. This enables you to copy the HTML code for your curated list player, and embed it on your site.

* If you have multiple collections, select the Share icon to the right of the Playlist you want to embed
* Copy the __Embed__ on your website HTML code
* On your website, using your platform's HTML code embed option, paste the code for your Captivate web player into the HTML box
* Save or update your post, and then click preview to view __the Playlist Player__ on your page

And that's it - you now have an embed player for pretty much any occasion for your website!
