Can I print tickets for orders and payments?

Yes! Handy allows you to automatically print *sales receipts* when recording an order in the mobile app, as well as *payment receipts*.


Handy works well with the ESC/POS standard, universally used with almost all printers.


We also have specific integrations with TSC and Zebra printers, which are more expensive but also higher quality.


Some examples of printers you can use are:


ESC/POS:


  • Epson
  • Bixolon
  • Other printers compatible with ESC/POS


Zebra:


  • MZ-220
  • MZ-320
  • iMZ-320


TSC:



These printers support 2" (48 MM) and 3" (80 MM) wide tickets.




When pairing your printer with Handy, you'll need to select the printer's language and the size of the ticket that corresponds with your printer's model:

If you enable the following setting, you can include the user's comments in the printed tickets:

Communication between the mobile device and printers is via Bluetooth. Once you've paired the printer with your mobile device, tickets are printed directly through Handy, allowing users to give clients a printed receipt on the completed operation.

You'll need to consider that, when an order is saved on your server, it's assigned a reference number, which you can see in the "Order" field right before the products' decription.


When an order is saved without an internet connection, it’s printed as a quote since it hasn’t been uploaded to the server yet. Therefore, it won’t have a reference number or appear in the web portal until it’s synced:



We recommend being very careful in these cases, as someone with bad intentions could register sales, print the quote for the client, collect the payment, and never allow the order to be recorded in Handy’s web portal.


To ensure all ptinted tickets are real and are registered in the web portal, you would need to see the word *"Order" **followed by the* reference number**.

Technical notes:


*❌ Non-compatible printers:*


We've come across certain printer brands and models that are incompatible with Handy. These printers are:


  • Brand Sewoo, model LK-P21B
  • Brand GOOJPRT, all models
  • Brand Rongta, all models


*For Zebra brand printers, they need to be in CPCL language.*
