How are product search results sorted when creating orders?
Here, we'll go over how search results are sorted when creating an order.
📱 In the mobile app
When you open the search bar in the mobile app, before typing anything, you’ll see the best-selling products for the current client and salesperson, ordered from most sold to least sold:
Once you've typed something in, the search results will be sorted in the following order:
- They're filtered by results that fit the search
- They're ordered by length of product description, from shortest to longest
- If there are several products with descriptions of the same length, then they're ordered alphabetically
Point 3 optimizes products with similar names, for example:
- White printer paper 500 sheets
- White printer paper 1,000 sheets
🖥 In the web portal
When creating an order in the web portal, search results are ordered by the product's date of creation (from oldest to latest).
If nothing is typed in, no results will show.
